Horizonaut was created for travellers who prefer the road less travelled — those seeking intimate boutique hotels, authentic local experiences, and destinations beyond the mainstream.
Kenya, in particular, is a favourite destination of mine. During a project in East Africa, I visited more than 100 lodges and camps across the country, from the Masai Mara to Amboseli, Samburu, and beyond. It gave me a deep understanding of Kenya: not simply as a tourist destination, but as a living landscape shaped by people, culture, and wildlife conservation. That knowledge now allows me to create journeys that feel deeply personal, immersive, and far removed from the typical safari circuit.
As a solo female traveller, I am also passionate about empowering others to travel independently. I have travelled extensively across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas, often alone, always seeking experiences that are meaningful and rooted in genuine connection.
Horizonaut was founded for travellers who value authenticity over convention. We are intentionally selective and quietly rebellious in our approach — avoiding overcrowded itineraries and predictable experiences in favour of thoughtful journeys that reveal the true spirit of a place.
